Pittsburgh was founded in 1758. Pittsburgh is within 500 miles of more than half the U.S. population, and the city is less than 90 minutes flying time from 20 states and Canada.

Allegheny County has more than 1700 bridges and the city of Pittsburgh has 723 bridges, more than any other city in the world except Venice, Italy.

Many movies in the past have been filmed in Pittsburgh including Kingpin, Sudden Death, Groundhog Day, and The Silence of the Lambs.  It has recently been the hot spot for many new movies in the area as well including Abduction, The Dark Knight Rises, The Next Three Days, One Shot and many more.
